An unusual houseplant which has a unique appearance compared to other ferns. Elongated fronds that have a pretty green-blue colour. The blue star fern is an epiphyte meaning it can grow on other trees rather than in the soil. They are naturally found in the tropical rainforests of South America.

This plant is grown in a peat-free medium, so you may find that the top soil tends to dry out a little faster - but don't worry, just use your finger and test to see if the top 2-3 inches of soil are still moist, to avoid overwatering. You'll also want to treat your plant to fertiliser during growing season, as you won't find the same nutrients in this mix as you'd find in traditional soil.
