This beautiful Begonia is a must-have for any colour-loving plant parent! They don't come much more striking than this. Also referred to as Begonia 'Indian Summer' referencing the gorgeously deep red/purple tones of its leaves.
Despite its summer-loving nickname, this plant doesn't appreciate harsh sunlight as this can scorch its delicate leaves, so be sure to keep it out of direct light.
Native to a more tropical climate, this plant appreciates a warm, humid environment where possible - so it will benefit from regular misting if you want to keep it growing and glowing.
This plant is grown in a peat-free medium, so you may find that the top soil tends to dry out a little faster - but don't worry, just use your finger and test to see if the top 2-3 inches of soil are still moist, to avoid overwatering. You'll also want to treat your plant to fertiliser during growing season, a you won't find the same nutrients in this mix as you'd find in traditional soil.
